- Can you tell us about your journey? What inspired you to pursue a career in beauty, and what made you fall in love with permanent makeup?
My journey began in 2014 after graduating from aviation school in Poland. I moved to Northern Ireland for new opportunities and started working in a grocery store. Although it taught me humility, deep down, I knew it wasn’t my true path. I’d always loved beauty. I followed trends, watched tutorials, and practised on myself just for fun. Soon, friends and strangers were asking, “Who did your brows?” And the answer was always: “I did.” That’s when I realised that this wasn’t just a hobby, it was a calling.
I took my first course in brows, lashes, and nails and started working from a tiny room in my home. It wasn’t easy, as I juggled four jobs to afford more training. But I was driven by passion, not just income. Permanent makeup completely stole my heart from the very first training session. That day, I felt deep inside that this was what I loved the most, and I’ve been dedicated to perfecting my craft ever since.
- You’re the proud owner of Prime Brows Academy. What was the motivation behind starting your academy?
I started my academy as so many people kept asking me about training, but for a long time, I held back. I doubted myself and didn’t think I had enough to offer. That changed after my very first student session. When she told me it was the best training she’d ever had and thanked me for everything she learned, I was deeply moved.
It was a turning point. I realised I had more knowledge and experience than I gave myself credit for, and most importantly, I had to share it. That’s when I knew it was time to create my own academy and help others follow their dreams, just like I followed mine.
- What were the biggest challenges you faced while building your brand and business?
One of the biggest challenges at the beginning of my journey was earning trust in a new country with no friends, family, or network to lean on. I had to build everything from scratch, and the fear of criticism often held me back. I made mistakes, like everyone does, but those mistakes became my greatest lessons. They helped me grow both as an artist and a person.
Looking back, I wish I’d had a mentor to guide me. That’s why I believe choosing the right trainer is crucial when starting out, someone who not only teaches but truly supports you every step of the way.
- How do you stay ahead in such a fast-evolving industry?
I believe that to stay on top, never stop learning, this industry evolves fast, and growth is a lifelong journey. Whether you’re a beginner or a trainer, self-development is key. Remember to appreciate your loyal clients. It’s easy to get caught up in the chase for new ones, but it’s your returning clients who truly form the foundation of your business. And above all, work harder than anyone else. There are no shortcuts, but with passion, consistency, and determination, success will always follow.
- What sets your brow technique apart from others in the industry?
My brow technique is all about subtlety and precision. I work delicately to ensure brows look beautiful not just right after treatment but even years later as pigment fades naturally.
I carefully mix and test pigments myself, never relying on ready-made formulas, to create blends that age well and suit each client perfectly. This constant refinement helps me deliver results that are both natural and long-lasting. While many follow trends, I believe true artistry comes from finding your own path and always staying curious and committed to learning.
- How do you tailor your approach to suit each client’s unique facial features?
Every client is unique, so brows should never be one-size-fits-all. Facial structure, expressions, skin, and hair color all play a role in shaping the perfect brow. Remember, brows are sisters, not twins. Our goal is to ensure that the brows harmoniously blend with the natural shape of the face, subtly enhancing its beauty.
- What’s your teaching philosophy for training future brow artists?
I only offer training in small groups or one-on-one as I believe that real learning needs personal attention. In larger groups, it’s easy for students to get lost. My courses focus deeply on both theory and hands-on practice, and they last longer than most, because quality education takes time. I also provide ongoing support, which I believe is just as crucial as the training itself.
Many training sessions today are rushed and overcrowded, with little instructor contact and no real models to practice on. I prefer to stay close to my students, share my passion, and guide them every step of the way so they can fully develop their skills.
- Congratulations on winning at the UK Brows Awards! How do these kinds of accolades impact your career and your business?
Competitions are an impactful way to test your skills, find new inspiration, and boost your career. After winning several championships, I saw a prominent rise in interest in my courses, it motivated me to keep pushing forward. These events also introduced me to incredible women in the industry whose passion and support became a huge source of inspiration. Being part of such a driven community turns every challenge into a chance to grow. Together, we motivate each other, open doors to new opportunities, and build strong foundations for long-term success.
- What exciting projects or ventures are coming up in 2025 and beyond?
This year, we’re launching a new training academy and medical clinic focused on permanent makeup removal techniques. With more clients needing correction for poorly done brows and lips, often with unwanted shapes or strange pigment colours, proper removal is now essential before any cover-up work.
In Northern Ireland, specialists in this area are rare, and strict regulations make the process even harder. Our goal is to simplify it and deliver expert, safe solutions.
We’re also excited to introduce an online training platform, another significant step in growing our business. There’s a lot ahead, but I thrive on challenges and can’t wait for what’s next.
