● Can you share a bit about your early life and what inspired you to pursue a career in aesthetics?
Growing up, I was fascinated by the beauty and the transformative power of skincare. Seeing how professional treatments could boost confidence and enhance natural beauty deepened my interest. Starting as a Linergist, I focused on face transformations through eyelash lamination and personalised eyebrow selection. I fell in love with the aesthetic industry and its profound impact on people’s lives.
● Did you face any challenges or obstacles while starting your journey in the beauty industry? How did you overcome them?
Starting in the beauty industry came with its challenges. I faced self-doubt and had to constantly prove my skills. To overcome these hurdles, I focused on relentless learning, attending workshops, and earning certifications. Building a loyal client base through outstanding service and results was key to establishing my reputation.
● What motivated you to establish Iconic Beauty Bournemouth Salon, and how has the journey been so far?
My motivation to establish Iconic Beauty Bournemouth Salon stemmed from a desire to create a haven where clients could receive personalised, high-quality treatments. The journey has been incredibly rewarding, filled with learning and growth. Seeing clients leave the salon with renewed confidence and satisfaction is the greatest reward for me.
● Could you tell us about the range of services offered at your Salon?
My salon offers a comprehensive range of customised skincare and beauty services. These include needle-free lip enlargement, RF skin tightening, advanced facials, cavitation peeling, and various other treatments. As a cosmetologist, I specialise in facials, Hydrafacial, kinesiology, deep cleansing, AHA/BHA acids, dermaplaning, mesotherapy, and eyebrow and eyelash enhancements. I also provide non-medical aesthetic procedures like skin boosters and fat-dissolving treatments.
To ensure optimal results, I offer personalised skincare advice and products for at-home care. Additionally, I conduct massage and face-taping courses so clients can achieve a non-invasive facelift before important events. I educate clients on facial pressure points to relieve stress and improve well-being, explaining how facial spots can indicate underlying health issues, such as liver problems. This holistic approach ensures my clients receive the best possible care in and out of the salon.
● How do you stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in aesthetics?
Staying updated in the rapidly evolving field of beauty and aesthetics is essential. I attend industry competitions, and workshops, and follow leading research. Last year, I won 2nd place in the HBA UK Hair and Beauty Awards for the best beauty therapist in the southwest, which boosted my confidence. I recommend believing in yourself and participating in such events. Networking with other professionals and being part of associations helps me stay informed about the latest trends and advancements.
● How do you educate your clients about maintaining healthy skin and the importance of professional treatments?
Educating clients is a core part of my service. During consultations, I provide personalised skincare advice and explain the benefits of professional treatments. I emphasise the importance of a consistent skincare routine, the role of professional treatments like RF therapy in maintaining skin health, and how needle-free lip enlargement can offer a safe alternative to traditional lip fillers.
● What are the biggest changes or trends you’ve seen in the beauty industry over the past few years?
One of the biggest trends is the shift towards non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments. Techniques like needle-free lip enlargement and RF skin tightening have gained popularity for their safety and effectiveness. Women now prefer natural enhancements, seeking treatments that improve their image without needles. In my salon, massages and ultrasound or RF treatments are highly sought-after. Lip augmentation has evolved too, with many clients now wanting subtle, natural-looking results.

Personalization is key to my approach. I start with a thorough skin analysis and consultation to understand each client’s unique needs, tailoring treatments accordingly. I maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and provide ongoing support.
