As an award-winning hair colour and bridal
hairstyle expert, Izabela has carved a niche for herself in the industry, transforming not just hair
but the confidence of countless women.
In this exclusive interview, we delve into Izabela’s approach to hairdressing, her commitment to
client satisfaction, and the exciting projects that fuel her passion for this beautiful art form. Join
us as we explore the mind of a true hair magician who believes that every strand tells a story.

● Can you tell us how you first started your hairdressing career? What sparked your passion for working with hair?

My passion for hairdressing started when I was a child. One of my mother’s friends was a
hairdresser, and whenever my mom went to get her hair coloured, she would bring my sister
and me along. I was fascinated, watching her work and wondering how she did it all. I dreamed
of becoming a hairdresser like her, and eventually, that dream came true. I started with wedding
updos and gradually developed more skills in the field. Even now, the smell of coffee and
ammonia takes me back to the cosy atmosphere of that home salon.

● Your work covers both hair colouring and bridal styling. How do you balance creativity and precision when working with clients?

Knowledge is the driving force behind my success. It equips me to confidently present my vision
to clients and guide them through the process. I believe clear communication is paramount, so I
take the time to explain my ideas in a way that helps clients feel comfortable and confident,
trusting me to bring their vision to life. My passion for hairdressing is evident in everything I do,
and my clients can feel that energy. They see that I’m not just doing a job but deeply instilled in
making their experience special. This connection builds trust, allowing them to embrace my
ideas and enjoy the transformation process fully.

● You’ve mastered various cutting and colouring techniques, such as the Panel and fusion methods. How do you decide which techniques to use for each client?

Consultation is crucial to my work. I need to see the client, carefully examine their hair, assess
its condition, and discuss the desired outcome. From there, I create a plan that often spans
several visits to achieve our shared goal. Based on this, I choose the best technique to use. The
consultation is the most important part of the entire process, not just for the first appointment,
but for the ones that follow as well. Sometimes clients aren’t sure how to explain what they want
or how they’ll feel about a certain style. My job is to guide them through it step by step,
explaining my approach and offering suggestions that balance their vision with what truly suits
them.

● Hair colouring has evolved so much over the years. What are some of the most exciting advancements in this industry?

I completely agree that the advancements in hair colouring are remarkable. While companies
are constantly competing with innovative products, for me, the real progress lies in creativity.
What excites me most is the freedom to take risks and create custom, one-of-a-kind colour
blends that make each client feel truly special. Mixing colours is something I’m passionate
about—it’s almost like entering a creative trance. The combinations just come to me naturally,
and sometimes, five minutes later, I can’t even recall the exact mix because it’s such an
instinctive process. It’s all about feeling the colours and trusting that instinct to craft something
beautiful and unique every time. That’s what makes this work so rewarding, like creating
something completely tailored to each client and seeing them light up with joy.

● What role does technology play in your daily work as a hairstylist, especially in training and staying updated with the latest trends?

Advancements in technology have allowed me to achieve even better results in my work, which
means I can offer so much more to my clients. The tools, styling products, and cosmetics I use
ensure that every chemical treatment is safe and leaves the hair looking beautiful and healthy.
Of course, this requires constant learning and staying up to date with new techniques, but I
enjoy that process. I also love educating my clients because healthy hair is so paramount to me.
It not only makes my job easier, but it also ensures they leave the salon feeling their best.

● As a trainer for the Nature Eva brand treatments, how do you tailor your teaching approach to ensure other hairdressers are gaining valuable, hands-on
experience?

Of course, I teach how to perform treatments properly and safely, covering everything from
assessing hair condition to paying attention to key details and managing the process. But more
importantly, I focus on teaching how to connect with clients. It’s about learning how to talk and,
most crucially, how to listen. In conversations, even casual ones, there are often valuable
insights that help us hairstylists understand exactly what the client expects, even when it’s not
obvious after the initial consultation. By picking up on these cues, we can create the perfect
colour or provide the best care tailored to their needs.

● Many clients come to stylists with reference photos or ideas in mind. How do you manage expectations while offering professional insight?

It’s the combination of deep knowledge, mastery of a wide range of techniques, and hands-on
experience that enables me to guide my clients realistically. I can explain what’s achievable
based on the condition of their hair and what they’re starting with. As hairdressers, we’re a bit
like magicians, but we also have to be practical. Sometimes, what a client wants just isn’t
possible for various reasons, and it’s important to communicate that in a way they can
understand. The key is offering them an alternative that will make them just as happy, if not
more. When you love what you do and approach it with passion, you can accomplish incredible
things.

● What’s your favourite project or challenge to work on?

Every new project excites me because it’s always something fresh and diverse, and an
opportunity to learn something new. However, what I really love are avant-garde projects, where
I can fully showcase my creativity and skills that don’t always get used in everyday salon work.
It’s in these bold, artistic settings that I can truly push boundaries. I dream of being part of larger
projects, like fashion magazine shoots or runway shows for top designers, those would be my
ultimate favourites. There’s so much ahead, and I’m looking forward to the chance to dive into
those kinds of exciting challenges.

● Finally, what is the most rewarding part of your job?

What truly makes my work rewarding is seeing my clients’ smiles when they look in the mirror
and love the final result. For many women, how we look is deeply connected to how we feel,
and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. It’s amazing that we want to take care of
ourselves and feel our best. But sometimes, a new colour is more than just changing the hair,
it’s about changing something inside. I’ve had clients look at themselves with tears in their eyes,
telling me that for the first time in 40 years, they actually like what they see. Moments like that
are the biggest reward and remind me why I love what I do.

In the world of hairdressing, few professionals possess the blend of artistry, technique, andpassion that Izabela Jędrzejczyk brings to her craft.
